The 1st Annual Atlanta-Chattanooga Challenge by Taylor Smith

The inaugural The First Tee Atlanta-Chattanooga Challenge was hosted by the Atlanta Chapter at John A. White Golf course on June 26, 2010. This challenge consisted of playing nine holes on the John A. White Golf course. As a participant in the tournament, I met young girls from The First Tee of Chattanooga who wonderfully displayed the nine core values learned in The First Tee program. I enjoyed playing each hole with girls who were competitive, and courteous. I realized that many of the participants and I shared many things in common outside of golf while playing and practicing with them. The camaraderie between the players of Atlanta and Chattanooga was wonderful . In the end the First Tee of Atlanta took home the prize, a plaque that read The Interchapter Challenge. I am looking forward to next year, when The First Tee of Chattanooga will host the second annual Atlanta-Chattanooga Challenge.
